Sometimes in life, no matter how much we prepare, we can't control every event that affects us.  However, crucially, we can choose how we react to that event.

As I write this, there have been numerous accidents on 290 in Harris County due to terrible weather which is only due to worsen over Sunday evening and Labrada HQ is located in the proverbial eye of the winter storm.

As a result of this, we have made the decision to close down much of the office and warehouse apart from critical cover to ensure our team's safety.

Now, we could moan and whine about why shutting down the office has put us behind our goals or waste time blaming the weather or whatever else comes to mind... but blame rarely if ever provides a solution.

Instead, our entire team is already notified of the situation and we've ensured all our standard Monday meetings will go ahead remotely.  I will utilize the saved commute time to work through my Monday list of tasks and ensure everything runs smoothly.  Is it perfect, no, but it sure as heck, will still be a productive day.
