It's an age old argument.  "Are Compound Exercises better than Isolation Exercises?".  There are many who believe that a particular group of exercises known as "Compound" (Squats, Bench Presses, etc) are essential for everyone - regardless of their goal.  However, that recommendation may be misguided.
