Indian Chicken Pita

Indian Chicken Pita

What's better than a meal you can put together in about 10 minutes? No, I'm not talking about a drive thru or take out menu; I'm talking about quick no-fuss lunches.

As bodybuilders, the foods stocked in your fridge are just as important if not more important than the workout journal you keep. The physical effort put forth in the gym should also echo in the kitchen - and anything that helps make meal prep easier without sacrificing nutrition is welcomed with open arms.

For today's recipe, I've come up with a quick, protein and antioxidant packed lunch that is just as good for you as it tastes - Indian spiced Chicken Pita.

This 10-minute meal is an easy alternative to bland chicken breast. Instead, we take foods that are likely to be in your kitchen and use them to make this tasty and low fat meal.

Our all-new ISO Lean Pro, is perfect for athletes, bodybuilders, and fitness enthusiasts who demand the purest, highest quality protein available on the market.
Whey Better Protein!
It's also excellent for dieters looking to bump up their protein intake without any unnecessary calories, because it's carbohydrate and sugar-free with virtually no fat.

Just two scoops delivers a whopping 50 grams of pure Whey Protein Isolate,  2 grams of fat, zero carbs, zero Lactose - zero sugar and just 220 calories.
Whey protein provides a large variety of benefits in addition to purely adding more protein to your diet.
Whey contains branched chain amino acids to repair muscle tissue and prevent muscle breakdown.  It also contains cysteine and lactoferrin, which helps protect your body from free radicals and boosts your immune system.

Whey also raises your body's natural levels of glutathione, this antioxidant is responsible for proper immune system function.

Whether you need to increase your dietary protein intake or you just want to look after your health, ISO Lean Pro fits the bill.

When is the best time to train?

Today's "Ask Lee", comes from Tony, Texas.

Hello Mr Labrada, I hope this finds you well, I have been a very big of fan of your for many years, I hope you can help me with my question which is , when is the best time to train and does it make much difference ?

Tony L

Hello Tony, thank you for your question.

This is one of those questions, to which, for the most part, there isn't a black and white answer.  However, let me focus on some of the data initially, then share my own thoughts.

If your focus is building muscle,  then logically speaking, training in the morning is optimal as testosterone levels are highest earlier in the day and decline throughout it. However, ironically, studies also exist clearly showing maximum-force orientated strength training is superior in the evenings.

If your goal is fat loss, there's no worthwhile data showing fat oxidized during exercise is elevated at any particular time of the day over any other although some data suggests that the post exercise fat burning benefits are elevated in the evening.

However studies also typically highlight the fact individuals have more energy earlier on in the day and can therefore burn more calories due to the higher work output.

So... what's the take-home?

As you can see, the data doesn't paint a very clear picture of an optimal time period for either fat loss or muscle building. In addition, the benefits measured from many studies show such minor advantages, it all becomes pretty irrelevant.

My advice is this.. Train whenever works best for you, when you feel you can give your all and when you can fit it into your daily schedule. The most important factor, by far, as Nike say, is to... "Just Do It".

If you find yourself lacking energy when training time rolls up, try utilizing workout boosters like Labrada Super Charge  (see amazing customer reviews here).
1 scoop of Super Charge! will ensure ANY time of the day is training time and it's significantly hassle than trying to organize your training around a manufactured time slot.

Bottom line - train when it's optimal for you and your life.

Until next time,  stay healthy and strong.
