So I’m sitting at my desk at Labrada Nutrition yesterday afternoon at around 5 PM and thinking about changing into my workout clothes... when the phone rings and it’s Robin. “Do you want to go to Uncle Julio’s and grab some fajitas for dinner with me?” Oh man, I thought to myself, that sure sounds good. But if I do, I’m going to miss my workout.  Decisions, decisions.

I took a quick mental inventory of what I had eaten for the day and how many workouts I had done this week. I decided I would go.  “OK honey, I’ll meet you there in 20 minutes.” So now you’re thinking, “Lee! You blew your workout off just to go eat fajitas with your wife?! What kind of fitness guy are you?” LOL

The flexible kind.

I workout to live. I don’t live to work out. I know that because I am consistent with my workouts and nutrition program for the majority of the time, I can afford a little flexibility in my regimen, especially when my missus is in the mood to go grab our favorite fajita meal.

That doesn’t mean I can do this every afternoon! It means that the very next day I am back in the gym, and ‘eating clean,’ just the way we encourage all of our students to do in our Lean Body transformation program.

Eating right helps you to prevent muscle loss, and helps nourish the muscle tissue which forms the foundation of your metabolism. Staying flexible helps YOU to enjoy your life! Have a great week!
