I often hear comments about not being too busy to make it to the gym for a long enough time to “make it count”, but the truth is: EVERY LITTLE BIT COUNTS! Believe me, I know what it is like to have a busy schedule, but that does not mean that you have an excuse to avoid being active or staying in shape. No matter how busy you are, there is always a way to squeeze a quick workout in! There is no such thing as “too short” of a workout because, in reality, a short workout is better than NO workout! If you do not have the time to make it to the gym, there are so many ways to improvise! Go for a quick jog around the block, do walking lunges across your living room floor, run up and down your stairs, do sit-ups and crunches on your bedroom floor, do triceps extensions off of a dining room chair, do some planks in your living room, do body weight squats in front of your t.v. (Which, by the way, if you have time to watch TV, you have time for a workout!) 🙂
The list goes on and on! Get creative! The key is not what works for OTHER people, but what works for Y-O-U! Get active ~ Remember, these little workouts on the days that you cannot make it to the gym will ADD UP and soon SUBTRACT inches from your waistline and numbers off of your scale!
