I just came across this article which references a study that claims fish oil is not a beneficial preventative for heart problems.
I my opinion, the problem is that most people do not take sufficient fish oil to see any results. Most people take a capsule or two per day. Fish oil only works in gram amounts. Think one tablespoon. I typically take 2-3 per day.
No matter what they say, fish oil conclusively lowers systemic body inflammation, which is not only at the root of cardiovascular disease, but many forms of cancer.
Lastly, have you ever thought that this finding could be the result of pharmaceutical companies paying for misinformation with which they can manipulate an unsuspecting public? If you “prove” fish oil is worthless, it paves the way for more cases of cardiovascular disease, which in turn spells big profits for drug companies.
Conclusion: keep taking your fish oil! LOL
