Labrada Nutrition fans, we ALL have our favorite food that is not exactly the epitome of health for us, am I right? Whether it is ice cream and pizza or cheeseburgers and French fries, there is something about our junk foods of choice that put “Kool-Aid smiles” on your faces and that can just put us in the greatest of moods! So, why deny yourself this JOY? Allow yourself the occasional TREAT!
Understand that when you completely restrict your favorite foods, you will not only put a damper on your spirits, but it will only intensify your craving! Developing a healthy relationship with food not only involves eating HEALTHY and nutritious food, but also not beating yourself up for eating the occasional “cheat” food. As long as you do not go “overboard”, your health goals will not “sink” and neither will your SPIRITS!
If eating your “guilty pleasure” actually makes you feel guilty and weighs on you mentally (no pun intended), then go ahead and do some extra cardio that day. Just do your best not to take the “FUN” out of food! Understand that if your diet is healthy, clean and well-balanced MOST of the time, then allowing yourself your favorite junk food once in a while is perfectly OKAY! Labrada fans, just keep MODERATION in mind when you “INDULGE”…and you will not add any unwanted “bulge”!
