Words Beneath Wings ~ The ADVENT of the Best Y-O-U

Words Beneath Wings ~ The ADVENT of the Best Y-O-U :)

by Lauren Christine Frahn

There is a certain feeling of Christmas that simply cannot be denied. The world just seems to be a bit of a kinder and warmer place, despite the lower temperatures. 🙂

The beauty of the season surrounds us, from the dazzling light displays to the Christmas trees in so many windows, sparkling with tinsel and ornaments. There is so much joy and anticipation felt by so many…no, not just for presents under the tree and the hopes to see Santa and his sleigh…led by Rudolph’s bright red nose…but also for the very reason of the Season, which is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Advent is one of the most special seasons for Christians, as it is the time that we prepare our hearts, minds and souls for His Coming. It allows us to fill our hearts with HOPE, JOY, LOVE and PEACE. During this season of joy and preparation, may you also use the time to prepare for the ADVENT of the you that you really want to be…

It is the beautiful task of Advent to awaken in all of us memories of goodness and thus to open doors of hope.” Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger-

Picture the very best person that you can be…makes your heart smile, right? 🙂 Now, it is up to you to decide to behave accordingly. With hope in your heart and love on your mind, there is no escaping the joy that will follow. Make it your year-long resolution to become the person that you would like to emulate. The spirit of Christmas and Advent is one that should not just be reserved strictly for the month of December…It should be carried in your hearts the whole year through. This may sound to some…or many…like a farfetched and “idealized” pursuit, but really, it isn’t…for we can CHOOSE to adopt this spirit all year round…the CHOICE to do so, however, is solely up to Y-O-U. Decide to take the necessary steps to bring about the ADVENT of the greatest person that you can be…and fulfill the hope that fills your heart…

“Life is a constant Advent season: we are continually waiting to become, to discover, to complete, to fulfill. Hope, struggle, fear, expectation and fulfillment are all part of our Advent experience.” Unknown-
