“Words Beneath Wings” ~ STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES
by Lauren Christine Frahn
As I was busy running around over the past weekend with the normal hustle and bustle of my day, I pulled into my driveway, grabbed as many bags as I possibly could (in an ongoing attempt to make a workout of my choresJ) and as I went to step into my front door, a certain smell stopped me in my tracks (very hard to do!) J It was the smell of a fireplace (why it was burning in the beginning of June is still a mystery, but irrelevant…stay with me here… 🙂 .
Instantly, it flooded my head with memories, caused me to put down all of the bags and just sit on my front patio chair, enjoying the nostalgia. It took me to a place of total GRATITUDE for so many things. While I take the time each and EVERY day to give thanks for all of the things that I am SO very grateful for, there are certain moments like this that just force me to.
“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “Thank you”, that would be enough.” ~Meister Eckhart
My long-winded point is that so often, we are so busy with all of our daily activities that we don’t take the time to stop and realize the MAGIC that is all around us. Nature’s beauty and life itself is so incredibly fascinating…there is no greater movie that could be made than the picture that surrounds us on a daily basis. Take the time to ADMIRE and RELISH it. Give thanks for all of the things that you are BLESSED with, no matter how small, for they are still blessings. When life grabs you by the wrist and drags in many different directions, take the time to STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES…you will be so glad that you did. Life is so PRECIOUS and so AMAZING. Give sincere thanks for it on a daily basis, every chance that you can, and watch your world change.
DREAM. INSPIRE. MOTIVATE. ENCOURAGE.
Stay motivated! 🙂
