Quick & Simple Lean Body Snacks

One great aspect of living the fitness lifestyle is the fact that we are eating constantly.  Keeping our bodies fueled throughout the day has tremendous benefits, not to mention keeping you satisfied.  Today, let’s look at some quick snacks that will help your metabolism fire on all cylinders. 
The quest for a lean, muscular physique requires certain aspects of your meal plan to be on point.  If you’ve been in the “iron game” for a while, you’re no stranger to the flood of meals that need to be eaten in order to maintain this look.  If you’re a newbie, you may be familiar with articles citing the benefits of eating smaller “mini-meals” throughout the day.  In fact, here is a great FREE Program for losing unwanted body fat and gaining lean muscle mass written by Bodybuilding Living Legend Lee Labrada.

In between eating your “main meals” snacks play an essential role in the success of your program.  Here are a few ideas that may spark interest and while sticking to your meal plan.

Chicken & black bean Hummus Wrap

Yield:  1 Wrap

1 ea. La Tortilla Factory Low Carb Wrap (low-fat)
¼ cup Black bean hummus
2 oz.  Cooked Chicken breast, sliced into strips
1 oz.  Roasted red peppers, drained and rinsed

Method of Preparation:
1. Spread hummus on wrap, add chicken & top with roasted red peppers.  Roll tightly.

Chocolate Banana Split Protein Pudding

Yield: 4 Servings

2 ¼ cups  Skim milk
1 pkg.  Chocolate fat-free-sugar-free pudding mix (2.1 oz.)
2 scoops ProV60 Chocolate protein powder
2 ea.  Bananas, sliced
1 Tbs.   Slivered almonds

Method of Preparation:
1. Beat milk, pudding mix and protein powder with whisk for 2 minutes.  Divide equally into 4 small cups.
2. Top with bananas and remaining pudding and refrigerate for 15 minutes.  Top with sugar-free whipped topping and almonds.

– 1 cup fat-free cottage cheese & 1 cup cherries
