The rubber runway that spins underneath you makes you feel like a hamster, doesn't it?
Back when treadmills were introduced to the world of health and fitness, it was celebrated widely. It made it possible for anyone to burn some calories whether they were at the gym, in their basement, or in their living room. All you needed to do was throw on your favorite pair of sneakers, start it up, and you could run as far and as long as you wanted to.
But things have changed. There are so many other ways to get a good cardiovascular workout in that you don't have to rely so heavily on the human hamster wheel. Let's face it, the only way we're going to stick to a form of exercise is if it is enjoyable in some way, shape, or form. The treadmill, unfortunately, has lost it's edge in the world of wellness, and there's too many other options to consider.
